The magazine is the mouthpiece of the merchant, the contractor, the farmer, the investor in industry and tourism.

The scope of its attention did not depend on companies or large and giant enterprises but gave great attention to small and medium enterprises.

It sought to present a number of proposals and recommendations to raise the level of contribution of these enterprises to the national economy, and the economy was not limited to following up local affairs, which was an echo of the Saudi economy, which has become the most important 20 economies in the world. The magazine goes this way through addressing issues that emphasize the "universality" of Saudi Arabia's pioneering economic approach."

    Paper Press Crisis:

After that introduction, Al-malik said that the occasion of the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the publication of (Al-iktisad magazine), under the patronage of the Prince of the Eastern Province, has inspired him to address 4 points.

First is "The honor of HH the Amir of the region for this occasion considered as a tribute and appreciation of the paper press without exception, represented by this paper Al-iktisad, which lasted five decades."

Secondly, he said, "The magazine's celebration of this age and its estimated success in serving the country's development and economy all this time, which coincides with an unjust campaign against the paper press, which cannot be understood, but that falls within the jurisprudence and views that may not be successful cause of the media from the media, which was the most prominent in the service of this country."

The third point, according to Al-malik, was a direct address to the businessmen as he said, "It may be appropriate to remind businessmen that they have a role to wait for them to save the press before they sink or die by providing newspapers with advertisements that keep them alive, effective and influential."

He added in the fourth point by saying, "the problem of paper-based journalism and the challenges faced did not arise from the fact of weakness in content, or the competition of the so-called digital press, but is a global phenomenon, but other countries found the problem, and the solution has been provided, while we are still waiting."

    Encounters:

In a very friendly way, Al-malik said in the fifth and sixth point, "It is a coincidence that the magazine celebrates the economy 50 years after its issuance, which is the same age in the work of the press, which has been issued the first issue of the magazine with my beginnings of journalism."

It is also a coincidence that the editor of Al-iktisad magazine, Qusay al-Badran, received his first ID as a journalist in 1979 with my personal signature when he worked as editor in Al-Jazira newspaper – then."

Al-malik concluded by saying, "I am happy to be given this opportunity to reveal something in my mind in front of your noble Highness and before this gathering. May Allah saved everyone, especially the leaders of our country and its people in the work to achieve further development under the reign of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Prince Mohammed bin Salman, with the best congratulations to the colleagues in the magazine on this occasion, and our calls for them to shine without interruption."
